ClientTrack Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026

The short version

  • Everything you enter in ClientTrack stays on your Mac.
  • ClientTrack makes no network connections. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
  • There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
  • We never sell or share your data, and we cannot see it.

Who we are

ClientTrack is made by Sync App Labs LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Sync App Labs", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the ClientTrack app uses, where it is kept, and the choices you have.

What ClientTrack stores

ClientTrack stores only what you enter or what its timer records:

  • Clients: the names and colors you give them, and their order in your list.
  • Time entries: whether each entry is work, travel, or a break, its start and end time, and the client it belongs to.
  • Settings: your preferences, such as how clients are sorted.

All of this is kept in ClientTrack's own protected folder on your Mac, which macOS keeps separate from other apps. Once a day, ClientTrack also saves a backup copy in that same folder, keeping the 14 most recent. If you use Time Machine, it backs up this folder along with the rest of your Mac.

No network connections

ClientTrack does not connect to the internet. It has no account, no servers, and no syncing service, and it uses no analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking tools. Your clients and hours never leave your Mac unless you export them yourself.

Notifications

With your permission, ClientTrack shows notifications, for example when work resumes after your Mac wakes from a long sleep, or when a timer has been running for 8 hours. These notifications are created on your Mac and are not sent through any server. You can turn them off in System Settings.

Launch at login

If you turn on the option to open ClientTrack at login, the app registers itself with macOS so it starts when you log in. You can turn this off in the app or in System Settings at any time.

Exports

When you export a report to CSV, ClientTrack saves the file only where you choose. What happens to that file afterward, such as sharing it with a client, is up to you.

Your choices and deleting your data

  • You can edit or delete clients and time entries at any time in the app.
  • About ClientTrack in the menu includes Show Data in Finder, which opens the folder where your data and backups are stored.
  • To remove everything, quit ClientTrack, delete the app, and delete that data folder. Copies in your own Time Machine backups are managed by you.

What we do not do

  • We do not collect, receive, or store any of your ClientTrack data.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

Emails you choose to send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever the message contains. We use it only to reply to you and to improve ClientTrack, and we never sell or share it.

Children

ClientTrack is not directed at children under 13. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If ClientTrack changes how it handles your information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
